Hello! Time for an update! After the winter in National Park I decided it was time for summer (well, spring) so I went via Auckland to give my friend Wendy a visit, all the way up to the Bay of Islands. Twenty degrees and lots of sunshine! Yesterday I took a trip to the far far north. Not just to see Cape Reinga, but also to go for a four wheel drive over 90 mile beach, do some sandboarding down massive dunes (yes, I was scared allright!), and get fish and chips at Mangonui, supposed to be the best fish and chips shop in the country.

The rest of the time I work and live with a family to have my accomodation and food covered and can't complain!!

By the way: Ruapehu erupted two nights ago!!! It's not as white as in the picture I posted last time. It wasn't as big as in 1995 though, when the ashes came down all the way in Auckland...

Exit National Park

Yup. After 4 weeks I left my job. Not because I hated the work or anything, but because I couldn't get on with the people. Or they couldn't get on with me actually. They were a bit weird. And since I'm not planning on letting anyone spoil my adventure here, I LEFT!!! HAHA!
