Elisabeth has left the Waikato...

...and meeting loads of family!

After 5 weeks in Te Awamutu I got a ride from Charlie (a friend of my bf Aaron) to Hastings in Hawkes Bay. The three of us (my bf came too!) went on friday and we stayed with friends of Charlie. It was an awesome ride to Hastings, taking us through Taupo and Napier. Charlie got really pissed the first night and woke me up at 5 in the morning because he was looking for the toilet.. and he obviously thought it was in our room.
On sunday Charlie and Aaron had to go back to Te Awamutu and I got a place to stay down the backpackers. I tried to reach the family I have in Hastings all weekend and finally got hold of Nicola on that sunday. She is a granddaughter of Willy and Jos Verbokkem who emigrated to NZ I don't know how long ago and they are family of my mums side. Nicola picked me up from the backpackers right away with her darkblue BMW (she is a 19 year old student... LOL). It was sooo good to meet up. Unfortunately, her parents were on holiday so I didn't get to meet them, but perhaps I will later on.

Right now I am in Wellington with Willy and Jos (a 5 hour drive from Hastings by bus). I gotta get a job sorted down the south island so I can spend some money in Queenstown!
